A Shared Beginning
A few of us came together to create the Stanley Wasson Community Alliance—to ask some really important questions about how we build, plan, and care for one another in this place we all call home.
Waterbury has always been resilient. We’ve weathered floods, rebuilt neighborhoods, and stood together when it mattered most. The goal of this space is to keep that spirit alive—to talk openly, listen with respect, and make sure every voice has a place at the table.
This land, like our town, holds layers of history and meaning. It deserves careful stewardship, not rushed decisions. And so do the people who live here.
As we begin this conversation together, my hope is that these posts become more than words on a page—they become a record of care, curiosity, and community.
Thank you for being part of the dialogue. Let’s build understanding the same way we’ve built resilience: one neighbor, one truth, one thoughtful exchange at a time.
It’s also important to note that the Town of Waterbury is currently updating its Town Plan. Your voice is vital to the committees shaping these policies and priorities. If you want to have a say in our shared future, I encourage you to share your thoughts directly with the Town as well.
With gratitude,
Carrie MacMillan
