The Stanley Wasson Community Alliance is a group of Waterbury residents working together to protect our homes, our safety, and our shared future. We believe in thoughtful, community-driven planning that respects both people and place.

We support housing solutions in Waterbury—but not at the expense of flood safety, environmental resilience, or public trust.

The Stanley Wasson site lies within a Special Flood Hazard Area and is historically significant. Any future development here must meet the highest standards of safety, transparency, and alignment with current municipal plans.

We reject outside policy pressure, predetermined outcomes, and closed-door decision-making. Every resident deserves a voice in shaping the future of our town, especially when decisions impact public safety and taxpayer liability.

Our alliance believes in community-driven leadership rooted in facts and fairness. We stand for:

  • Responsible development that prioritizes flood safety

  • Local decision-making guided by facts, Town plans & Vermont policy

  • Transparency and accountability in government process

  • Protection of existing neighborhoods and community character

  • A resilient, thriving future for Waterbury

Together, we are building a stronger, safer community—one that plans wisely today to protect our neighborhood tomorrow.
